Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday called for removing Secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, terming him biased. MQM's leader and a federal minister Dr Farooq Sattar told media persons at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore that the commission's secretary wanted "to alter MQM's mandate in Karachi". He urged the ECP to conduct an inquiry into what he called bias on part of its secretary and said that he should be removed from the post.
